PENTAGON

Formed in Seoul by Cube Entertainment and revealed in 2016 through the show Pentagon Maker, PENTAGON has established itself in K-pop with a songwriting style that blends dance-pop, electronic, melodic rap and passages that are more rock or softer depending on the period. Initially consisting of ten members, then reorganized following the departures of E'Dawn in 2018, then Yan An and Yuto in 2026, the group today continues its activity with seven members: Jinho, Hui, Hongseok, Shinwon, Yeo One, Kino and Wooseok. PENTAGON built its identity on a strong involvement of its members in composition and writing, notably Hui, Kino and Wooseok, which marks albums such as Pentagon in 2016, Positive in 2018, Universe: The Black Hall in 2020, We:th in 2020, Love or Take in 2021 and In:vite U in 2022. The title Shine in 2018 was a turning point in their trajectory, before Daisy in 2020 further widened their range with a more alternative approach. Very present in South Korea as well as in Japan, PENTAGON also developed an international live activity with tours in Asia, Europe and America, while participating in the Road to Kingdom show in 2020, which highlighted their sense of arrangement and collective performance.
