Monsta X
Formed in Seoul under Starship Entertainment following the survival show No.Mercy, MONSTA X came together in 2015 as a seven-member group and continued as a six-piece after Wonho’s departure in 2019. While rooted in K-pop, MONSTA X developed a denser aesthetic at the intersection of hip‑hop, electronic pop, EDM and R&B, emphasizing rapped verses, melodic choruses and often tense productions. The group debuted with the EPs Trespass and Rush, structured their rise around the The Clan series, and expanded their catalogue with Korean albums The Clan Pt. 2.5: The Final Chapter (2017), Take.1 Are You There? (2018), Take.2 We Are Here (2019), Fatal Love (2020) and No Limit (2021). At the same time they have maintained a regular presence in Japan with Piece (2018), Phenomenon (2019) and Flavors of Love (2021), and released two English-language albums, All About Luv (2020) and The Dreaming (2021). Collaborations with artists such as Steve Aoki, French Montana and Sebastián Yatra accompanied this international opening, while MONSTA X has moved since the start between South Korean stages, Japanese releases and worldwide tours.
