Nosowska
Born in Szczecin, Poland, Katarzyna Nosowska has since the late 1980s developed a career alternating solo work with activities in Hey, the band she joined in 1992 and with which she established herself on the Polish rock scene in the 1990s. Under the name Nosowska, she has also built a discography in which alternative rock, pop, electronic music and trip hop intersect, with albums such as puk.puk (1996), Milena (1998), Sushi (2000), UniSexBlues (2007), Osiecka (2008), 8 (2011), Basta (2018), Degrengolada (2023) and Kasia i Błażej (2024), recorded as a duo with Błażej Król. Nosowska's work is distinguished by a strikingly present lyrical voice and a capacity to evolve her repertoire from one format to another, from spare songs to electronic productions, and with more organic arrangements. Over the years Nosowska has also participated in collective projects such as Yugoton, Męskie Granie, or various collaborations with Polish artists from the rock, pop and alternative scenes. Present on both festival stages and touring venues, Nosowska holds a lasting place in contemporary Polish music, balancing lyricism, formal exploration, and a constant movement between several aesthetics.
