Narco
Formed in 1996 in Seville’s La Macarena district, Narco first became known as Lumpen before adopting an identity centered on an abrasive fusion of rap metal, rapcore, nu metal and industrial metal. Narco’s sound relies on alternating vocal styles, heavy guitars, a pronounced rhythmic foundation and the contribution of a DJ, creating an aesthetic that mixes massive riffs, rap flow and electronic textures. After a debut single and a tour with Def Con Dos, Narco released Satán vive in 1997, Talego pon pon in 1999, Chaparrón de plomo in 2001 and Registro de penados y rebeldes in 2002 — an album associated with the controversy around the interactive game Matanza cofrade. The band split in 2004, returned in 2008 with the compilation Alijos confiscados 1996-2008, then resumed studio releases with Alita de mosca (2010), Versiones para no dormir (2013), Dios te odia (2014) and Espichufrenia (2017). After another break starting in 2019, Narco relaunched activity in 2022 with a renewed lineup centered on Distorsión Morales, Rey Ezequiel and longtime members Diablero Díaz and Amnésico, and released Parásitos that same year.
