Patrick Sébastien
Patrick Sébastien, born Patrick Boutot on 14 November 1953 in Brive-la-Gaillarde, Corrèze, is a multifaceted French figure: impressionist, television host, singer-songwriter, director, producer and singer. He first gained notice in the 1970s for his impressions in Parisian cabarets, then on television with shows such as Carnaval ! (TF1, 1984–1986) and Surprise sur prise ! (1990–1992). From 1998 he created and presented the programme Le Plus Grand Cabaret du monde on France 2, which became a popular fixture combining artistic acts and music. At the same time he pursued a musical career marked by festive hits like Le Petit Bonhomme en mousse (1999) and Les Sardines, and released albums including Viva Bodega ! (1998), Le roi de la fête (2002) and Ça va être ta fête (2014). He also founded the production company Magic TV. After 2020 he gradually stepped back from his major television commitments and mentioned a farewell tour titled 30 ans de fiesta. Patrick Sébastien has maintained a public profile, notably through his books, shows and charitable involvement.
