Michelle Blades

Michelle Blades, a musician and composer born in Panama, grew up in an artistic environment before forging her own path between the Americas and Europe. Based in Paris after starting out in Arizona’s independent scene, she has developed a distinctive universe that blends experimental rock, alternative pop and Latin American influences. Signed to Midnight Special Records, she released Visitor (2019) and the EP Nombrar las cosas (2020), works that reveal introspective songwriting and considerable freedom of tone. A multi-talented artist, Michelle Blades collaborates widely: she plays bass on stage for Pomme, co-arranged Flavien Berger’s latest album, is a member of the collective La Brume and sings with the group La Femme, with whom she has toured internationally. An insatiable sonic explorer, she has established herself as a major figure in the francophone alternative scene.
