Matt Lange

Los Angeles–based American producer and composer Matt Lange crafts electronic music at the intersection of techno, progressive house, ambient, and industrial influences. Trained at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Lange gained recognition in the late 2000s with EPs on labels specializing in the progressive and deep scenes, before going on to deliver numerous remixes for artists from both dance music and pop. His writing emphasizes highly detailed rhythms, evolving structures, and a focus on sonic textures reminiscent of film music, which has also led him toward composition for picture and sound design. In 2011, Lange founded his own label, Isorhythm, to provide an independent framework for his most personal productions. His first full-length album, Ephemera, released in 2015 on mau5trap, distills this approach by blending club-oriented tracks with more atmospheric pieces. Balancing solo releases, focused collaborations, and instrumental projects, Lange performs as a DJ or in hybrid live sets on various international stages, while regularly appearing as a guest artist and educator in electronic production.
