Under the name Neelix, Henrik Twardzik has developed a career rooted in the German electronic scene from Hamburg—initially in psytrance and later in a more open style at the crossroads of progressive trance and progressive house. A DJ since 1996, he began producing his own tracks in 2000 and released Resident in 2003, followed by No Way To Leave (2005), Same Thing But Different (2007), You’re Under Control (2009), When I’m Grown Up (2010), On My Own (2017) and Birth (2020). Neelix’s sound rests on dynamic basslines, airy textures, frequent use of vocals and samples, and calmer passages that build tension without breaking the rhythmic momentum. Over the years his sets have moved toward a more melodic and cross-genre shape while remaining anchored in dancefloor energy. His trajectory has taken him to numerous stages in Germany and across Europe, as well as to Israel, Brazil, Mexico and Australia, alongside remixes and occasional collaborations with artists such as Vök, Ghost Rider, The Gardener & The Tree and Symphonix.
