Michaël Canitrot
French DJ, producer and songwriter Michaël Canitrot has developed between the Paris club scene and a more transversal practice of the musical event. Originating from Seine-et-Marne, where he grew up in Gretz-Armainvilliers, he first established himself in an elegant and accessible house, nourished by deep house, vocal house and electronic productions designed for the club as well as for more scenographic formats. Active since the 2000s, Michaël Canitrot launched the So Happy in Paris concept, which has visited venues such as the Bains Douches, Le Queen, Olympia or the Eiffel Tower, before circulating internationally. His discography notably includes the singles Desire in 2009 and then 2010, You and I in 2010 and 2011, When You Got Love with Ron Carroll in 2011, White Escape in 2011, Leave Me Now in 2012, Pantheon with Reepublic in 2013, as well as the Face To Face EP in 2017. He also published several compilations linked to his residencies and his universe, including So, Happy in Paris? in 2004, Love Summer in 2007 and Playboy Sessions Paris in 2012. Over time, Michaël Canitrot broadened his field of action toward creations blending electronic music, heritage and imagery with Monumental Tour, launched in 2019, a project presented at several historic sites in France and abroad.
