Lilian Renaud
Born in Mamirolle in the Doubs, Lilian Renaud belongs to a French chanson tradition with folk‑rock and pop overtones, characterized by direct songwriting and often acoustic arrangements. He began singing at a young age and performed in his native Franche‑Comté, notably as part of an acoustic duo with a childhood friend. He came to wider attention in 2015 by winning the fourth season of The Voice on Zazie’s team. That exposure launched his recording career with Le Bruit de l’aube (2015), followed by Le cœur qui cogne (2016), on which he alternates between interpretations and more personal songs. After a period out of the public eye, he returned with the self‑produced album Lilian Renaud (2019), then pursued that independence by founding his label LR Music and releasing Dans un moment de bonheur (2021). His repertoire blends folk ballads, melodic pop and a sensitivity to rural landscapes, family ties and intimate stories. He also took part in the stage and recording project L’Héritage Goldman, maintaining a career split between television, touring and work as a singer‑songwriter.
