Jeff Dunham

Born in Dallas, Texas, in 1962, Jeff Dunham has established himself as an American comedian and ventriloquist working at the intersection of stand-up, spoken word and filmed comedy. Performing on stage since the 1980s, Dunham has developed a universe centered on a cast of recurring puppets — including Walter, Peanut, José Jalapeño, Bubba J and Achmed the Dead Terrorist — with whom he creates an ongoing dialogue that mixes situational jokes, character-driven humor and commentary on everyday life and American popular culture. His shows are often recorded and released on video and audio, notably “Arguing with Myself” (2006), “Spark of Insanity” (2007) and “A Very Special Christmas Special” (2008), which are also available as albums on major platforms.
