Icekiid
Born in Hillerød, Denmark in 1996, Jermyn Creppy records as Icekiid, developing a melodic rap that blends afrobeats, urban pop and dancehall accents in Danish lyrics shaped by his Ghanaian roots. Before adopting the name Icekiid in 2014 he released music as Lil G Boy, already oriented toward African rhythms and short-form tracks. Icekiid launched his discography with the single “Coco Chanel” in 2015 and the EP Afro Dansker in 2016, which established a universe both festive and identity-driven. He refined that mix of sung hooks, supple rap and percussion-focused production with the EPs $tamina Szn (2019), 72 Timer (2020) and Afro Dansker II (2024). In 2020 “ErruDumEllaHvad” broadened his audience significantly and appeared on the FIFA 21 soundtrack. His debut album Ingen Roser Uden Torne was released in 2022, continuing an accessible yet rhythmically dense style. Over the years Icekiid has also appeared alongside Kesi, Lamin, Artigeardit, Outlandish and Tobias Rahim, placing him within a Danish scene where rap increasingly dialogues with Afro-diasporic music.
