Gilli

Born in Rødovre in 1992, Gilli, whose real name is Kian Rosenberg Larsson, emerged on the Danish rap scene from the mid-2010s in connection with Copenhagen's urban circuit. His work spans melodic rap, trap and urban pop, with an emphasis on sung choruses, flexible rhythms and a delivery that blends tension and fluidity. Gilli first appeared in the Danish film Ækte vare in 2014, which broadened his exposure beyond the hip‑hop circle, and went on to release singles that firmly established his name locally, including C’est La Vie, Habibi Aiwa, Orale and Tidligt Op. He is also part of the collective B.O.C alongside Kesi, Noah Carter and Benny Jamz, and of the group Molo with Stepz, Branco and Benny Jamz—two key frameworks for understanding his place in contemporary Danish rap. As a solo artist he released the album Kiko in 2019, a record that synthesizes his approach across radio formats, street rap and club influences. His trajectory therefore shows a constant interchange between solo career, collective work and intersections with other forms of Danish popular culture.
