Hannah Grace
Born in Cardiff, Wales, Hannah Grace develops a repertoire that sits between soul, pop and jazz, driven by a broad voice and a marked taste for understated melodies, piano ballads and writing centered on emotion without showy effects. Trained at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama in jazz singing, Hannah Grace began to stand out on the Welsh scene thanks to BBC Wales’ Horizons programme, before continuing her journey with the Never Fade Records label. Her discography initially focuses on several EPs, including Meant to Be Kind (2014), Mustang (2016) and The Bed You Made (2019), as well as a collaboration with Gabrielle Aplin on the December EP (2018). Hannah Grace has also toured on British and European stages as the opening act for artists from pop, folk and soul, which highlights the versatility of her universe, both accessible and nourished by more classical influences. In 2020, she released her debut album Remedy, which extends this line with a streamlined pop-soul production. A cover of Praise You also helped broaden her audience, while remaining coherent with her approach, based on measured arrangements, expressive interpretation and a constant balance between pop sensibility, soul texture and jazz nuances.
