Tom Speight

British singer-songwriter and alumnus of the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, Tom Speight has developed since the early 2010s a singer-songwriter style situated between alternative pop, folk-pop and acoustic rock. His songs focus on melody, guitar and understated production. His trajectory included early work around bands such as Mumford & Sons and Travis, a forced hiatus due to health problems, and a return in 2016. He relaunched his career with a series of EPs — Little Love, Falling and Love in 2016, then Willow Tree, My My My and Waiting in 2017 — while touring the UK and Europe, notably with Seafret, and contributing songwriting for Turin Brakes. His debut album Collide appeared in 2019, establishing an intimate pop-folk format supported by clear arrangements and a gentle voice; he continued in that vein with Everything’s Waiting for You (2021) and Love & Light (2023). In 2024 he added the EP Stay Alive to a steadily built discography, maintaining a direct, heartfelt songwriting approach across acoustic ballads, luminous pop and indie-tinged tones.
