Ghostly Kisses

Led by Margaux Sauvé with Louis-Étienne Santais, Ghostly Kisses has been developing a soft, melancholic dream-pop from Quebec at the intersection of indie pop, ambient and subdued electronica. The project took shape in the mid-2010s after Sauvé — then a psychology student and trained violinist — began writing her own songs; Dragos Chiriac of Men I Trust encouraged her to continue. A first single, "Never Know", was released in 2015, followed by the EPs What You See (2017), The City Holds My Heart (2018), Alone Together (2019) and Never Let Me Go (2020). Across these releases Ghostly Kisses refined an intimate songwriting voice, carried by an airy vocal, spare arrangements and a marked taste for nocturnal atmospheres. The project was selected for SXSW in 2019, then expanded its scope with Heaven, Wait in 2022, composed by Sauvé and Santais, and Darkroom in 2024. Ghostly Kisses has also collaborated with Tim Bran and Thomas Bartlett, composed the music for the podcast Red Frontier in 2021, and saw the track "Empty Note" featured in the series The Rain and Skam Italia.
