André Galluzzi
Born in Frankfurt am Main in 1973 and based in Berlin since 1995, André Galluzzi trained within the network of record shops and clubs in Wiesbaden before establishing himself in the German electronic scene. After working at the shop Boy Records and serving as a resident at the Parkcafé, he also played at Dorian Gray before relocating to Berlin, where he became a resident at Tresor from 1996. His trajectory has been shaped by techno, minimal house and a very stripped-down club aesthetic, with a marked taste for long sets and a rhythm-centered selection. At the end of 1994, his meeting with Paul Brtschitsch at Neuton led to the creation of the Taksi label, active from 1995; their track "Schneesturm" was later licensed by Richie Hawtin to Plus 8 in 2001. André Galluzzi appears on the mixed compilation Berghain 01 (2005) and then developed a more personal discography with Alcatraz (2015) and Alcatraz Remixes (2016), before releasing Passages with Daniel Stefanik in 2024. Over the years he has moved between clubs, radio stations and labels associated with the techno scenes of Berlin and Europe.
