Florrie
Born in Bristol as Florence Arnold, Florrie developed early a profile combining pop songwriting and drumming, before moving to London at the end of her adolescence. From 2008 she worked within the production team Xenomania as the in‑house drummer and contributed in studio and on stage for artists such as Girls Aloud, Kylie Minogue, Pet Shop Boys, Alesha Dixon and The Saturdays, while co‑writing several tracks associated with the collective. Her solo trajectory began in 2010 with the EP Introduction, followed by Experiments in 2011, Late in 2012 and Sirens in 2014. Florrie’s music sits within a taut, highly rhythmic British pop at the crossroads of synth‑pop, dance‑pop and a melodic songwriting tradition marked by the 1960s, with an important emphasis on drum patterns and concise choruses. After a spell at Sony Music, Florrie returned to an independent path from 2019 with a series of singles, alongside her activity in the band Capulets. This sequence culminated in the compilation Personal in 2023 and then in The Lost Ones in 2024, Florrie’s first studio album, which continues her balance between electronic pop, live energy and compact formats.
