Etta Bond

Born in Cambridge, England, Etta Bond has developed a sound that sits between British soul, R&B and pop, often working with productions linked to London’s rap and electronic scenes. Active since the early 2010s, she was among the first artists associated with OddChild Music and began her career in Labrinth’s circle before establishing an ongoing collaboration with producer Raf Riley. The duo produced the EPs Emergency Room (2012) and Meds (2013), two projects where her supple, melodic voice meets rougher arrangements—between urban song, club music and pop experimentation. Etta Bond continued as a solo artist with the EP #CoolUrbanNewTalent in 2014 and released singles such as “18” (2015), “Love Me Up” (2018) and “How Could I Forget You” (2021). Over the years she has also appeared alongside several British artists, notably Wretch 32 on “Forgiveness” (2011), Labrinth on “Treatment” (2012), Plan B on “Playing with Fire” the same year, and later Devlin, Chris Loco and Ghostpoet. Her trajectory also includes sessions broadcast on BBC Radio 1Xtra and Rinse FM, which have accompanied her place within the UK’s contemporary soul and R&B scene.
