DJ Furax
Born in Belgium under the name Alexandre Schippers, DJ Furax began his career in the electronic scene in the early 1990s, after first playing drums and then composing. His universe moves between techno, hard trance, jumpstyle, hardstyle, and techno hardcore, with a marked affinity for fast rhythms, direct synthetic lines, and club-oriented energy. DJ Furax rose to prominence with the track Big Orgus, released in 1997, which remains one of his most recognizable references and would be reissued later in other versions. Settled into a long-standing producer and DJ career, he subsequently released on various labels and also developed his own structures, while maintaining a performance presence in Belgium, France, and several major European electronic events. His name appears in contexts linked to Mystery Land, Bassleader, Qlimax or Defqon.1, as well as alongside DJs from diverse club and hard dance scenes. Notably, DJ Furax released the compilations Hardjump in 2005, Hardjump 2 in 2005, Furax Fire Soundz in 2010, and My Inspiration in 2012, reflecting a durable grounding in the edgiest aesthetics of European dance.
