Francesca Lombardo

Born in Italy and based in London, Francesca Lombardo has, since the early 2010s, developed a trajectory that sits between house, melodic techno and electronica, with a writing style focused on airy textures, slow melodies and hypnotic rhythms. A DJ, producer and composer, Lombardo first drew attention with a series of EPs and maxis released on labels such as Crosstown Rebels, Mobilee, Leftroom, Poker Flat and Bedrock, before establishing her own entities, Echoe and Echolette. Her music moves between the immediacy of the club format and more contemplative registers, sometimes bordering on ambient, with a consistent attention to narrative and the voice. Alongside her releases, Francesca Lombardo has performed on a wide range of stages and in varied contexts, from the international club and festival circuit to venues like the Royal Albert Hall, and events such as Circoloco, IMS Dalt Vila, Burning Man, Get Lost, Resistance and Tomorrowland. In 2019 she released the album Life of Leaf, which extends this sensitive approach to electronic music.
