Dickster

Under the name Dickster, Dick Trevor has been active since the early 1990s in the British scene associated with Goa trance and later psychedelic trance. His career began in the founding context of that movement, with a writing style centered on hypnotic melodies, acid lines and long structures designed for the dancefloor without sacrificing sonic detail. Before and during his solo work he developed several projects and aliases, including The Green Nuns, Bumbling Loons, Circuit Breakers, Vogon 42, Green Oms and AMD. The Green Nuns, formed with Neil Cowley and Matt Coldrick, played a significant role in this initial period. Dickster also crossed paths early on with Simon Posford, becoming a long-term regular collaborator and participating in the Shpongle LIVE environment. He subsequently continued along this trajectory within the international psytrance circuit—through productions, remixes and DJ sets—maintaining a style rooted in the Goa heritage while incorporating a more fluid, rhythmically denser and more contemporary form of psytrance.
