Constance

Constance is a French comedian, writer and actress from Picardy, known for her raw, poetic and fiercely free humour. Trained in theatre before turning to the one-woman show, she quickly established herself with a distinctive style that mixes cynicism, tenderness and absurdity. On stage she embodies a gallery of vivid female characters, oscillating between fragility and gentle madness, using them to call out the injunctions placed on women and the hypocrisies of everyday life. Her voice—both caustic and sincere—makes her a singular presence in francophone stand-up. She reached a wider audience through her columns on On n’demande qu’à en rire and appearances on France Inter, and has since toured with shows such as Les mères de famille se cachent pour mourir, Pot pourri and Inconstance. Between dark humour, trashy poetry and disarming lucidity, she upends genre conventions and imposes a radically personal world where every laugh hides a sharp reflection on the human condition.
