Supa Mana

Active on the French reggae scene since the late 2000s, Supa Mana has developed a path at the crossroads of DJing, production, and singing, with a strong grounding in rub-a-dub, digital reggae and dub aesthetics. Initially spotted for selections built between 1980s classics and 1990s digital textures, she began performing publicly in 2009 and quickly frequented sound system circuits and reggae stages in France, notably in Paris. Supa Mana also evolves her practice towards composition, with her first EP, Bad Girls, released in 2014 on Brigante Records, in a register where heavy basslines, dry rhythms and dancehall influences dialog with a more contemporary approach to reggae. Over the course of her projects, Supa Mana collaborates with several artists from the francophone and international scene, including Biga Ranx, Big Red, Volodia, Shanti D or Joseph Cotton, while gradually affirming her own presence on the mic. In 2023, Supa Mana released the project Dub Siren, which extends this evolution with a more developed visual identity and a sound centered on digital reggae dub. Supa Mana thus places herself in a scene where sound system culture, contemporary production and roots heritage meet.
