Joina

Based in the Empordà, in Catalonia, Joina is developing a project at the crossroads of song, piano and a pop electronic with experimental contours. A pianist, singer and composer, Joina threads in her tracks an intimate writing, sober synth textures and a voice often placed at the center, in a balance between melody, sonic exploration and restrained tension. Her path is anchored in the Catalan indie scene, with an aesthetic that links instrumental training and contemporary production. Available information indicates that Entre la mort i el desglaç, published by Foehn Records, constitutes her third album and marks a new step in Joina's evolution, with a more clearly electronic orientation. This record was produced by Emili Bosch, a member of b1n0, a collaboration that sheds light on Joina's work toward a format where song remains present while opening to more atmospheric and fragmented constructions.
