urika’s bedroom

Based in Los Angeles since 2018, urika’s bedroom develops a project located at the intersection of indie rock, dream pop, slowcore and lo‑fi textures, with intimate guitar‑driven writing and hazy productions. Before releasing her own tracks, urika’s bedroom played in several local scene bands with hybrid aesthetics and also worked on tracks by artists close to her universe, including untitled (halo) and Ded Hyatt. The project emerged in solo form in 2023 with the track « Junkie », which immediately establishes a formula of fragile melodies, often restrained vocals, and arrangements that are both soft and abrasive. This opening is followed by a steady live presence, urika’s bedroom subsequently joining tours alongside Youth Lagoon, Nourished By Time, Chanel Beads and Perfume Genius. In this still‑emerging trajectory, urika’s bedroom sits within an American indie scene where slowed‑down songwriting, atmospheric rock and discreet electronic intersect, with a deliberately pared‑down format focused on the mood of the songs.
