Georgia Nevada

Active on the British scene, Georgia Nevada develops a repertoire at the crossroads of country, rock and blues, with songwriting centred on storytelling and songs built around a powerful voice. She first gained attention within the UK country-rock circuit before broadening her scope to more rock- and blues-oriented stages, in a format where live energy counts as much as melodic content. Her debut album, BackFire, sets out the foundations of this hybrid aesthetic, blending contemporary country, rock guitars and blues-tinged accents. Over the course of her career Georgia Nevada has toured the UK with British blues-rock duo When Rivers Meet and shared bills with Brave Rival as well as American artists Britnee Kellogg and Dan Smalley, placing her project in an ongoing dialogue between the British scene and Nashville references. She has also performed at venues such as Islington Assembly Hall and The Glasshouse ICM and appeared at festivals linked to the country and rock circuits.
