Arcane Allies

Formed in 2016 around Christiana Bonhaus and Sidney Jaffe, and tightened into a trio in 2017 with the arrival of guitarist Joel Jaffe, Arcane Allies operates within the European krautrock and psychedelic scene with an approach that blends repetitive rock, electronic improvisation and driving rhythms. Arcane Allies builds its pieces on circular motifs, airy textures and a steady tension sustained by the interweaving of guitar, drums and theremin. In this context the influence of Can, Neu!, Tangerine Dream or Moon Duo is apparent, but the band favors a shifting form, between hypnotic pulse, psychedelic drift and live dynamics. Over the years Arcane Allies has developed this language on the road with more than 300 concerts in over 14 countries, notably Germany, the United States, the United Kingdom, Portugal, France, Switzerland and Kosovo. The trio has also played at several psych and krautrock events such as Burg Herzberg Festival, Monsters of Psych, Off The Radar or Alterna Sounds, confirming a trajectory largely built on live performance and independent circuits.
