Alex Lutz
Between theatre, film and music, Alex Lutz has developed a performing career that also includes recordings. Born in 1978 in Strasbourg and raised in Limersheim in Alsace, he first trained in acting and directing with various companies before establishing himself on Parisian stages with his one-man shows, some of which were later released in audio form. Lutz gained attention in cinema with OSS 117 : Rio ne répond plus and then took on numerous roles in French comedy, while continuing to write for the stage, where work on voice, rhythm and characterization is central. His relationship with music became clearer with Guy, a mock musical documentary he directed and performed in 2018, accompanied by a soundtrack on which Alex Lutz sings pieces inspired by French variété and chanson from the 1960s to the 1990s. This vocal dimension extends his taste for popular figures and stylistic pastiches, at the intersection of humour, acting and song.
