Cancamusa
Born in Valdivia and raised in La Unión, in southern Chile, Cancamusa, stage name of Natalia Pérez Peralta, has since the 2010s developed a career balancing drums, composition, and singing. Trained in music and sound at Universidad UNIACC, she began as a live musician with Joe Vasconcellos, Mon Laferte, Mamma Soul, and Javiera Mena, before joining the Chilean group Amanitas between 2014 and 2019, where she contributed to a writing style situated between alternative rock and pop. Later settled in Mexico, Cancamusa continued this work as an accompanying musician while pursuing a solo project centered on a pop with atmospheric textures, with elements of dream pop, indie pop, and trip hop, in an approach she herself has likened to a cinematic register. Her solo discography includes the mixtape La Luna Explota in 2018, then the albums Cisne - Lado Negro in 2020, Amor Minimal in 2023 and Dopamina in 2025. In her tracks, Cancamusa favors clean arrangements, soft rhythms, and introspective writing, without breaking with the rhythmic energy linked to her drummer background. Parallel to her own-name concerts, she has continued to circulate between different Latin American and international scenes, notably alongside Mon Laferte, then as a drum replacement for Los Bunkers from 2024.
