Violent Sadie Mode

Based in Bordeaux, Violent Sadie Mode operates in a punk-hardcore register with dry, fast, and upfront lines, drawing from the urgency of 1980s hardcore as well as a more contemporary approach to punk. The band revolves around Sadie Golding, whose abrasive voice carries direct lyrics, fueled by social anger and a feminist perspective, on short, tense tracks. Visible on the Bordeaux local scene before touring more widely, Violent Sadie Mode develops a raw, unflinching aesthetic built on sharp riffs and a tight four-piece dynamic. Their first EP, Incelcore, was released in 2025. Violent Sadie Mode thus places itself within a new generation of French bands that reactivate the most immediate forms of punk without freezing them into pastiche, while maintaining a biting writing and a strong sense of confrontation.
