Louïse Papier
Behind Louïse Papier is Blanche Leblond, a musician who previously played with the groups Clavicule and Championne; this project extends her trajectory into a more minimal framework centered on songwriting. Louïse Papier occupies a lo‑fi synthetic pop territory with cold, melancholic contours, fueled by dry drum machines, vintage‑textured organs and simple melodic lines sung in both French and English. According to available biographical details, Blanche Leblond trained at an art academy; with Louïse Papier she develops a concise, intimate and nocturnal aesthetic situated between synth‑pop, indie pop and pared‑down electronic songs. A first EP was released in July 2022 and already set the project's foundations with short, direct and sparsely arranged tracks where repetition, matte textures and a certain vocal distance play a central role. On stage Louïse Papier takes the form of a quartet, surrounded by three musicians, in a configuration that broadens the songs' depth without changing their overall economy. Louïse Papier thus operates at the junction of the independent rock scene and a discreet French pop constructed around restraint, motif and tension.
