DJ Chuckie
Born in Paramaribo, Suriname under the name Clyde Sergio Narain, DJ Chuckie established himself from the 2000s on the Dutch and international scenes with energetic house nourished by Dutch house, EDM, moombahton, trap and Latin inflections. Active since the 1990s, Chuckie has accompanied the rise of a sound centered on percussive rhythms, direct build-ups and incisive synths, in a format designed for clubs as well as major festivals. His career also includes significant work as a producer and remixer for artists from pop, hip-hop and electronic music, with collaborations or remixes for LMFAO, Hardwell, David Guetta, Michael Jackson, Rihanna or Laidback Luke. Among his most notable tracks are “Let the Bass Kick in Miami Bitch” (2009), “Move It 2 the Drum” (2010), “Who Is Ready to Jump” (2011) and “Make Some Noise” (2012). DJ Chuckie also develops his own label, Dirty Dutch Music, echoing the Dirty Dutch aesthetics associated with his name. His album The Best of Chuckie was released in 2013.
