Odario

Born in Guyana and raised in Winnipeg, Odario Williams has developed a career in Canada that links music, the stage and radio. First active with the Winnipeg hip-hop group Mood Ruff, he later became the frontman of Toronto-based collective Grand Analog. His work is rooted in hip-hop, with an emphasis on voice, lyrics and stage presence, in formats ranging from concerts to DJ sets. Alongside his musical activity, Odario holds a lasting place in Canadian broadcasting as a radio host and producer, notably on CBC Music with the shows Afterdark and CBC Music Live; he has also been the voice of CBC Radio 3 and made appearances on Q and The Signal. This dual trajectory, between hip‑hop culture and radio broadcasting, gives Odario a distinctive presence in the Canadian landscape. In 2020 he co‑hosted the Juno Awards with Damhnait Doyle.
