BOHO

Active between Cologne and Berlin, DJ and producer BOHO, aka Lars Kohl, is part of the German techno scene, blending techno, minimal and deep tech with a groovy and melodic approach. Before launching his BOHO project in 2017, he founded the Cologne-based label Jannowitz Records in 2014, which gradually became a meeting point for producers drawn to a deep, hypnotic sound. BOHO later consolidated this position with Jaw Dropping Records, a sister imprint run with Rachel Raw, conceived to accommodate broader aesthetics within underground electronic music. On the discography side, BOHO has released multiple EPs and maxis on Jannowitz as well as on other international labels such as Senso Sounds, Yoshitoshi Recordings, Octopus Recordings and Stil vor Talent, and regularly collaborates with artists like Rachel Raw, Reza Golroo and Tocadisco. At the same time, as a DJ BOHO has developed a live trajectory that has taken him from clubs in Cologne and Berlin — notably Watergate, Sisyphos and Salon zur Wilden Renate — to dates in India, Greece, Switzerland, Mauritius, Amsterdam, Ibiza, Los Angeles and Australia, where he delivers dancefloor-oriented sets built on shifts in tension between percussive rhythms and more atmospheric textures.
