Galibot

Born in the coal-mining basin of northern France, in Wallers-Arenberg, Galibot takes its name from the children who were once sent to work in the coal mines — a historical reference that illuminates the project's identity. Formed in 2023 by Thomas, Agathe and Clément, Galibot began as a studio project before taking a stage form with the arrival of Julian and Rob, eventually becoming a quintet. The band operates within melodic black metal, featuring clear guitars, dark atmospheres and songwriting marked by constant tension, with imagery tied to raw matter, dust and the industrial landscape of the North. Galibot's first recording took shape in its hometown, and the band subsequently entered the French metal circuit. In 2026, Galibot released Euch’Mau Noir bis on Les Acteurs de l’Ombre Productions, presented as an alternative version of their first album, extending the shift from a work originally conceived in the studio toward a live incarnation.
