Menni Jab

Between rap and French chanson, Menni Jab develops an intimate and committed songwriting voice, nourished by a constant back-and-forth between Bordeaux, where he currently lives and works, and Nantes, his hometown, which he notably honors in the track "Nantes." Trained at the École Polytechnique in Paris, this multi‑instrumentalist began rapping in 2015 on the student scene, initially as a duo with fellow musician Pi‑Well, with whom he later founded the collective Le Passage. With that collective, Menni Jab released the EP "Fusion" in 2021 and stepped up live activity from 2019 onward, performing over thirty shows in various venues and festivals across France, including Bordeaux, Paris, Nantes and several regional stages. His music blends melodic instrumentation with a clear flow, and lyrics that address daily routine, the relationship to the contemporary world, personal doubts and romantic relationships. After a project titled "Merci pour les roses" followed by a tour of about 35 dates, Menni Jab started a new cycle of releases in 2025 with the singles "Cinétique" and "3-0", which herald an EP planned for the end of the year, while maintaining a regular stage presence. Winner of the Tremplin Musique des 2 Rives 2022, he continues to place his work within a network of venues and collectives that shape the current Bordeaux rap scene.
