Boyzlife

Born from the meeting between Keith Duffy, a member of Boyzone, and Brian McFadden, a former member of Westlife, Boyzlife took shape in 2016 around a stage project mixing autobiographical storytelling with renditions of the repertoires of the two Irish groups. Anchored between Dublin and the tradition of British and Irish vocal pop, the duo evolves in a pop register that combines ballads, adult contemporary pop, and choruses inherited from the boy bands of the 1990s and 2000s. As they toured the United Kingdom, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand, Boyzlife gradually shifted its format toward a song-centered concert, supported by a live band. This trajectory led to their first album, Strings Attached, released in 2020 with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, which revisits their universe in an orchestral setting. Boyzlife then followed with Old School in 2022, an album of original tracks built on melodic pop writing, arrangements inspired by the 1980s and 1990s, soft rock influences and sentimental ballads with a direct tone. In this project, Boyzlife prolongs the stage and vocal heritage of its two members while establishing a duo identity based on pop nostalgia, vocal harmony and an accessible repertoire centered on memories, relationships and personal experiences.
