Zididada
Formed in the late 1990s on the Copenhagen scene, Danish outfit Zididada is built around singer Jimmy Colding and guitarist Danny Linde, who founded the group in 1997 after meeting at the Mojo club. Zididada plays very melodic pop, ranging from light pop rock to radio-friendly songs with immediate choruses, mainly in English and occasionally in Danish. The band drew attention with the albums Welcome To Zididada (1999) and Have A Zididada Day (2000), then continued with Happy Fool (2002) and the compilation Princess (Greatest Hits) in 2004. That same year Zididada entered the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix with “Prinsesse”, their first song in Danish, finishing in second place. Their discography continued with Music Makers (2005), Take it All (2008) and Fix Your Heart (2013), while singles such as “Lå Lå Lå” (2017), “Pir i byen” and “Digital Total ‘Kærlighed’” (2019) kept the band active. Zididada also recorded the theme “Take it all” for WWE Judgment Day 2008 and won a Danish Music Award in 2001 for “Årets Danske Radiohit”. After Danny Linde left in 2013, Jimmy Colding has kept Zididada performing live, notably on the touring concerts Danmark Dejligst.
