Mc Luanna
Born in Bahia under the name Luana Santos Oliveira and based in São Paulo, in the western zone of the capital, Mc Luanna develops a repertoire at the crossroads of rap, trap and Brazilian funk, with writing centered on personal experience and the social realities that run through her journey. Her project is situated in the contemporary Brazilian urban scene, where flows from rap meet trap-influenced productions and the direct energy inherited from funk. Mc Luanna puts at the forefront texts that speak of the condition of women, self-assertion, Black identity and life on the periphery, without dissociating these themes from a strongly autobiographical approach. Her emergence occurred in a context of digital circulation and renewal of female voices in Brazilian urban music, alongside a generation that blurs the boundaries between genres and formats. Between singing and rhymed phrasing, Mc Luanna builds a frontal aesthetic anchored in everyday life, where intimate expression also becomes a commentary on her social and cultural environment.
