Urumi

French producer and DJ Urumi has been developing since the mid-2010s a crossover between electronic music and francophone rap, characterized by a dark, fast, club-focused aesthetic. Her sets combine techno, trance and edits of rap tracks, with a significant emphasis on frapcore, a register she notably explores through the RAP2RAVE project. After a residency in Berlin and a stint at Pacha Ibiza, Urumi settled into a circuit of clubs and festivals across France and Europe. In 2024 she performed at Les Trans Musicales, We Love Green, Primavera Sound, Solidays, Les Ardentes, Les Plages Électroniques and Les Eurockéennes. Her work has also led her to remix artists such as Hamza, Zola, Ateyaba and La Fève. Urumi was featured in a portrait on the Arte programme Tracks and was invited by Shygirl to play at her Boiler Room in London. This trajectory continued with a signing to the All Night Long label, where Urumi sits alongside an electronic scene oriented toward direct, hybrid dancefloor formats.
