Bredren

Based in Belgium and linked to Brussels, Bredren has been shaping a dark, tense and detailed drum & bass sound since the 2010s, built on deep bass, dry rhythms and an intentionally stripped-back atmosphere. The project operates as a trio and occupies the deepest branch of the genre, with an aesthetic that draws as much from minimalism as from more techno-like textures. Bredren releases regularly on labels such as Proximity Recordings, Demand Records, Flexout Audio and Dispatch Recordings, before also signing an EP to 1985 Music, an important milestone in their trajectory. The track 'Inferno' also marks this phase of development. Alongside studio releases, Bredren performs on drum & bass stages in Belgium and internationally, while developing Bredren Invites, a Brussels-born platform centered on the deepest forms of the genre. Bredren is thus part of a Belgian bass music scene attentive to tight formats, nocturnal moods and constructions free of showy effects.
