Twinnie

Born in York, England, Twinnie, whose full name is Twinnie-Lee Moore, has built a career at the crossroads of music, musical theatre and television before establishing her project as a singer-songwriter in a country-pop vein. After appearances in London stage productions Chicago, Flashdance The Musical and Rock of Ages, and later screen roles, notably in Hollyoaks, Twinnie gradually shifted her activity toward melodic pop writing nourished by contemporary country, with direct choruses, radio-friendly production and a vocal approach tied to her stage experience. Following the early singles “Cool” (2015) and “Home” (2016), she released the EP Twinnie in 2016, then Better When I’m Drunk in 2019. Her debut album Hollywood Gypsy came out in 2020. Twinnie sits in a vein where contemporary country meets British pop and Nashville-derived formats, while keeping a personal anchor in songs with a narrative and accessible tone. Her journey between the UK and the United States sheds light on this hybrid aesthetic, built as much in writing as in live performance.
