Flight by Nothing

Formed in 2016 on the outskirts of Dallas, Flight by Nothing brings together Conner on vocals, Huey on keyboards, Pacco on lead guitar, Sam on drums and Porfii on bass. This Texas quintet operates in an indie register built around a classic rock lineup enhanced by keyboards, with songwriting focused on melodies and the energy of collective playing. In 2021 Flight by Nothing relocated to Austin, a move that marked a new stage in the band’s trajectory and its aim to develop a sustainable long-term activity. The following year they headlined a tour across the southeastern United States, before releasing BACK FOR MORE in 2023. That project accompanied the growth of their audience and the band’s consolidation on the Texas scene. Since then Flight by Nothing has continued to progress live, playing larger-capacity venues and honing an identity that becomes clearer with each date—anchored in a tight group dynamic, an independent pop-rock format and a keen sense of intensifying build-ups.
