Pole Position

Based between Barcelona and Ibiza, Pole Position brings together Loïc Le Joliff and Jaime Alguersuari in an electronic project centered on house and melodic sonorities. Their approach is flexible, moving with context between club grooves, slow progressions and more open formats. Pole Position takes shape from two distinct backgrounds: Loïc Le Joliff has worked for several years in events and the development of projects linked to electronic music, while Jaime Alguersuari, a former Formula 1 driver who raced with Red Bull Racing, was simultaneously building a musical career under the name Squire before co-founding Pole Position. The duo develops work founded on continuity, a gradual rise in tension and clarity of selection — both in their productions and in their sets. Pole Position is also associated with the Barcelona label Ànims, launched by the two members as a platform to release their music and as an open space for other artists from the house and melodic scene. Through this connection between production, label and scene, Pole Position defines its identity within a precise, structured and narrative electronic register, conceived for the club as well as for more evolving listening formats.
