Billy Crawford

Born in Manila in 1982, singer and dancer Billy Crawford grew up between the Philippines and the United States, a dual background that shaped a career at the crossroads of pop and contemporary R&B. He emerged in the late 1990s with an English‑language repertoire blending pop melodies, R&B grooves and hip‑hop and dance influences, backed by a strong choreographic presence. After a self‑titled debut album released in 1999, he followed with Ride in 2001 — which produced signature tracks like “When You Think About Me” and “Trackin’,” widely played across several European countries — and Big City in 2004, which leaned toward a more urban R&B sound. In 2009, the album Groove focused mainly on covers of 1980s funk and R&B songs, taking a more mature approach centered on vocals and arrangements. Active on stage in Europe, notably in France and the UK, Billy Crawford has concurrently pursued an acting and television presenting career in the Philippines, anchoring him both in the international pop scene and in the Filipino media landscape. Across his projects he alternates between club productions, R&B ballads and occasional collaborations with other pop artists, in English as well as in Filipino.
