Dan Ghenacia

Active since the late 1990s and linked to the Paris scene, Dan Ghenacia has developed an approach to minimal house, tech house and microhouse based on supple rhythms, rounded basslines and meticulous work on textures. He first emerged as a DJ in French clubs before establishing a lasting presence across European and Ibizan circuits, where his long sets accompanied the rise of minimal aesthetics in the 2000s. His career has been built both as a solo artist, through maxi releases on various house and tech-house labels, and within a collective framework with Apollonia, the trio formed with Dyed Soundorom and Shonky. With Apollonia, Ghenacia extends a language focused on groove, the movement between deep house and minimal, and a club-oriented mixing dynamic, notably on Parisian, European and Ibiza stages. His style remains associated with a spare yet mobile approach, where repetition, rhythmic tension and subtle variations structure both his productions and his selections.
