Arthur Satàn

Based in Bordeaux, Arthur Satàn has been developing since the 2000s a career tied to the French independent rock scene, initially as part of the duo JC Satàn, formed with Paula, where garage rock, punk, noise and psychedelia intersect. Parallel to that frontal, electric side, Arthur Satàn has built under his own name a more melodic repertoire focused on songwriting and informed by power pop, glam rock, folk rock and psychedelic pop. This facet is particularly evident on the album So Far So Good, released in 2021, where guitars remain present but occupy more open formats, with vocal harmonies and a stronger sense of the chorus. His trajectory remains rooted in the Bordeaux underground while extending into French and European independent circuits — rock clubs, specialised labels and parallel projects. Arthur Satàn thus allows several registers to coexist, from garage urgency to a brighter pop, without a sharp break between his different activities.
