Equipe de Foot

Formed in Bordeaux in 2015, Équipe de Foot brings together Alex (vocals and guitar) and Michaël (vocals and drums) in a rock duo nourished by a strong pop culture. Rooted in an indie aesthetic where grunge energy, immediate melodies and lo-fi textures intersect, Équipe de Foot works mostly in English, building songs around contrasts between abrasive passages and more melodic choruses. The band gradually established itself on club and festival stages in France and abroad, using a reduced format that aims to produce a dense, frontal sound, between 90s inheritances and a flair for pop hooks. Their debut album, Marilou, was released in 2018 and set the project's musical line; in 2020 Geranium followed, refining this blend of saturated guitars, often doubled vocals and more nuanced arrangements. In 2025 Équipe de Foot returns with Small Talk, an album that continues the exploration of direct pop songwriting while maintaining a marked taste for dynamic breaks, tempo changes and two‑voice choruses, confirming the duo's place in the francophone independent rock landscape.
