Hen Yanni

Born in Israel, Hen Yanni initially pursued a career as an actress before placing music at the center of her solo work. In the early 2020s she emerged with a personal repertoire that blends new wave ballads, electro-rock, dark folk and gothic inflections, with songwriting focused on intimacy and transformation. Her music rests on stripped-back guitars, taut electronic rhythms and a deep, often restrained voice that sustains continuous tension without sacrificing melody. From a first EP to a more developed project, she extends this direction by crafting direct, inhabited songs that explore themes of displacement, trials and reconstruction. The move from cinema to composition also informs her visual, front-facing approach, in a form of alternative pop where dark textures, rock impulses and a new wave sensibility remain central.
